The Artist: Jenni Christensen

Intrigued by the endless possibilities of floral subjects, Jenni Christensen’s aquatint etchings and painted gourds are generously illuminated with the magnolias, poppies and sunflowers that bloom in her garden. Jenni grew up in Hawaii before moving with her family to Idaho. After high school, she attended Brigham Young University, receiving her BFA in Craft Design in 1972 and her MFA in Printmaking in 1977. She has etchings at the American Embassies in Nigeria and Manila. Jenni’s work is also well represented in galleries and museums throughout the United States and abroad, many private galleries as well as corporate collections. Jenni taught in the BYU Art Department until leaving in 1990 to pursue a full-time career as a printmaker and painter. She has three children and is presently living and working in Pleasant Grove, Utah.

"Trend-setting, Imaginative, Mod, Colourful." As a unique fine art print resource, Poems continues to embrace contemporary art and artists. Poems are passionate about art and work closely with the artists they publish always looking for something unique either in colour, subject matter or treatment. The concept of "Poems" originated from a philosophy that art is poetry for the eye and stirs feeling, just as words entice the ear. Every piece of art is produced by an artist with a measure of passion.
