The Artist: Ken Elliott

Ken Elliott is a Colorado artist working in a variety of media: oils, pastels, monotypes, monoprints and collages, with a career in the art business which spans over 30 years. His gradual emergence as a fine artist began when he first became a picture framer, then worked alongside a restorer, became an art dealer, and eventually in the 80s, began to draw and paint. Ken begins each painting with bold strokes, adding more color than may be typically found in Nature and ultimately inviting us to discover landscapes in which “all of Nature is altered, perfected, abstracted…” His elegant contemporary landscapes evolve as part of a non-linear creative process––the artist typically has a number of works in progress in the studio. Ken’s work is represented in numerous private and corporate collections and galleries throughout the United State. “When you run out of variations to an idea, you can go back to Nature where all the ideas and colors for a lifetime are always waiting for you.”

"Trend-setting, Imaginative, Mod, Colourful." As a unique fine art print resource, Poems continues to embrace contemporary art and artists. Poems are passionate about art and work closely with the artists they publish always looking for something unique either in colour, subject matter or treatment. The concept of "Poems" originated from a philosophy that art is poetry for the eye and stirs feeling, just as words entice the ear. Every piece of art is produced by an artist with a measure of passion.
