The Artist: Joe Esquibel
Having successfully created entertainment graphics for 17-plus years, Joe Esquibel decided to return to his first love---painting. His graphic designs, primarily for licensing, have been used by just about every movie studio in Hollywood: Paramount, Universal, Dreamworks, Warner Brothers, MGM and New Line Cinema. Additionally, he has provided visuals for Sony, Marvel Comics, Fox, Rhino Records, Skechers, and Hershey's, to name a few. His film debut arose from the opportunity to create character art for the animated end title sequence of “A Series of Unfortunate Events,” Paramount/Nickelodeon’s 2004 holiday film starring Jim Carrey and Meryl Streep. Joe has stayed true to his art and is sought out for his unique, hand-rendered style and innovative concepts. His use of color, texture and composition stem from a rich inheritance of cultural aesthetics and a vast appreciation of both man-made and natural beauty. Joe hails from Utah, but spent several years in New York City where he gained an even greater education in the business of art and new inspiration for his characteristic style.
