The Artist: Heather Johnston

Born in Vancouver Canada, Heather Johnston studied at the prestigious Royal College of Art in London England, receiving a Masters Degree in Photography in 1992. Presently, she divides her time shooting flora fotographica and the coastal mountains of British Columbia, creating portraits and developing commercial projects. Her inspiration comes from art history, contemporary culture, books, traveling, and nature. Heather has exhibited in Europe and Canada, including the annual festival Recontres Internationales de la Photographie in Arles, France, and the Zelda Cheatle Gallery in London. Her work is represented in the Canada Council Art Bank, the Vancouver Art Gallery Sales and Rental, and many private collections.
