The Artist: Peggy Zablotny

Peggy Turner Zablotny is an artist who has a background in design. In 1970, she graduated from the Philadelphia College of Art with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design. Shortly after completing her education, Peggy founded Z Studio, a company that focuses primarily on exhibit and graphic design. The work has included master color plans for industrial facilities, signage design for hospitals and corporate facilities, individual and corporate identity programs, design and print production for annual reports, books and book covers, music CD packages, and design and production of permanent and traveling exhibit projects. In 1994, Peggy ventured into botanical collage work and fine art prints. Since then, she has had solo exhibitions throughout the United States. Her work has been featured in numerous home décor publications. Mark Alan Lovewell of the Vineyard Gazette describes Peggy’s work as “startling, powerful, delicate and beautiful.” Of her artwork, Peggy states, “What is most striking is nature’s brilliance. It continues to astonish and excite me. My botanical collage compositions celebrate the patterns and colors of nature. Through the medium of original prints, I can share my vision with others.” Peggy’s work is displayed in various galleries and select corporate collections throughout the United States.
