Italian artist Stefania Carlini was born in Rome in 1951. She was formally educated in Rome, attending the Liceo Artistico in 1968 and the Academia Belle Arti in 1973, finishing with a Diploma of Ceramica. Stefania teamed up with her husband Alessandro in Como in 1975 and opened Studio Carlini together with 20 other designers. The husband & wife team relocated to Rome in 1983 after closing the studio and deciding that their creative efforts would be better achieved working alone. They have since built a new studio on the countryside near the beaches and lakes where they paint in a purely creative environment of tranquility.
