The Artist: Tandi Venter

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Tandi studied graphic design at the Johannesburg Art Foundation. Being trained and working in the discipline of graphic design, Tandi’s work displays a strong understanding of geometric structure, juxtaposed with rich color and texture. Tandi shows diversity in her art, from realism to abstract, wildlife to landscapes, each expressing its own unique style. Inspired by the colors and rhythms of her native South Africa, she explores the depths of creative expression, bringing an eclectic contemporary vision to her work. The earth tones on which she bases her palette are inspired by her origins. Tandi continues to explore different mediums, from acrylics to watercolors to the digital medium of computer fine art, from photography to sculpture to creating beaded silverware and handcrafted jewelry.
