The Artist: Matthew Daniels
Matthew Daniels Prints & Posters: Artist Matthew Daniels was born in Buffalo, New York and has lived in New York city for over 30 years. Daniels is proud to be a real 'New Yorker'. He calls his latest series of paintings 'New York Portraits'. There is a decorative flavour to Matthew's striking cityscape prints and posters such as To the Chrysler Building print and Manhattan Bridge View poster or canvas and through the use of subdued tones he creates a feeling of nostalgia for a different era. Light dominates Matthew's compositions and a dense pattern of brushstrokes provides a sense of vitality in the dynamic metropolis of New York City. Although today he lives with his wife in Paris, Daniels is frequently compelled to return to his home in midtown Manhattan to gather new inspiration.
