Julianne Marcoux

Biography

Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, Julianne Marcoux began to draw at the age of three. She won a scholarship to Arizona State University, and began to work toward her dream to be a professional artist. She created hundreds of drawings, paintings and monoprints, consistently well received. She won several grants, awards, scholarships, and nominations, reinforcing her decision to make art for a continually growing audience.

Marcoux is inspired by many different sources; other artists and styles continually influence her work as it evolves. Marcoux believes that painting from life has provided her with invaluable experience. "There are hidden treasures everywhere. My job is to incorporate these found beauties with sophistication and diversity."
