Hidden Magic

The works of the French painter Agate give off a magical aura. The artist draws the viewer’s gaze to hidden details in the everyday world, which would otherwise escape the superficial glance. Her pictures, almost reminiscent of neo-realism films, emanate a mysterious energy. However, this energy can only be experienced if you succeed in removing yourself from the flow of events for a moment. She intuitively lends her subjects a special charm. She creates tension with her use of rough contours and bright light. The magical nature of the image is then further increased by the use of mirror effects.
