Biography
Ines Kollar is a freelance artist from Hamburg with a unique and very distinctive style. Using background materials of sand, powdered marble, paper and fabric her work has a quiet inner strength and features strong contrasts between shape and colour. Most of Ines Kollar’s paintings can be described as figurative abstracts where repeated textured shapes create an ambiguous impression in the viewers mind. The artist claims that in her paintings her aim is to suggest and to inspire thought, not to explain.
