Biography
Lee Frost was born in Yorkshire in 1966 and discovered photography during his mid-teens. His interest became more serious when he realised that a career in civil engineering wasn’t for him and, having dropped out of college, decided he’d better find an alternative career. Photography seemed like a more interesting option.
Today he is regarded as one of Britain’s best-known landscape photographers and one of the world’s most successful photography authors, with 15 books to his name - many of them international best-sellers. Lee is also a regular contributor to a number of photographic magazines and leads sell-out photographic workshops in the UK and overseas through his company, Photo Adventures.
Lee’s passion is shooting panoramic images of Northern England and Scotland; capturing the drama and beauty of stunning landscapes and coastline at dawn and dusk, the fringes of the day when the light is at its most magical. However, his travels have taken him all over the world, and the images exhibited here represent just a tiny proportion of his growing collection of magnificent panoramas.
Lee lives on the coast of North Northumberland - his favourite place on earth.
