“Talking about my painting...is like asking a goldfish why it swims. It swims simply because it doesn’t really know how to do anything else. We can gaze in wonderment at the display, or consider it a sad banality, but the fish doesn’t care. All it wants is for no-one to come and take it out of the water.”
