Agnès Rodon

Biography

Agnès Rodon was born in Barcelona in 1961, to a family with painting tradition. She was in love with painting since early childhood and at the age of 12 she won her first prize at a children’s contest. In 1981, she graduated from the Pau Gargallo School of Applied Arts and Art Offices in Barcelona; later on she took postgraduate courses on engraving, lithography, silkscreen printing and image at the Contemporary Arts Center, in the same city. Agnès has exhibited in different Spanish cities, such as Barcelona, Lérida, Mérida, Valencia, Valladolid, San Sebastian, Madrid, A Coruña, Seville, Bilbao, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, etc., and abroad in Miami, San Francisco, Rome, Paris and Tokyo. She has been presented numerous prizes and awards, among them the First International Painting Award Beaux Arts European Club in Béziers, France. Her works can be found at many foundations and museums. Agnès Rodon, who has not stopped painting since she won her first award at the age of 12, is always looking in light and color for the union of two fundamental elements for her: idea and feeling.
