Biography
Henri Roger was a French photographer. On October 13, 1889, at noon he took his first photograph - a simple image of his family assembled together for their Sunday meal. Eventually his work, along with his contemporaries, helped to form the Roger-Viollet collection, amassing over the years an historical mosaic covering life and society.
