Lynn Kelly

Biography

Lynn was born and raised in the town of Salmon Arm, B.C. Her initial career in construction eventually landed her in Toronto where, desperate for a creative outlet, she finally began art classes at Sheridan College. In 2006, Lynn earned a BFA with Distinction from the Ontario College of Art and Design and, during 2008, she is attending the Chelsea College of Art and Design in London, the UK, to obtain her MA Fine Art.

Always a colorist, Lynn’s work varies from vibrant and bold to the subtle colours of autumn. Expressing her love of nature and Mother Earth, the images are joyous and energizing. Most of her current work contains multiple images, a reflection of both the many cycles of life and the information overload we experience in modern society. Working with layers of images containing layers of meaning, she provides her interpretation of intimate aspects of life, the passage of time, continuity and the Earth.
