Oleg Koulikov

Biography

Oleg Koulikov was born in Kiev, Ukraine, and was inspired at an early age by the works of Marc Chagall, Paul Klee, and Maurice Utrillo. He majored in art history at Pedagogical University in St. Petersburg, Russia, and upon graduating took to the road, traveling the world, absorbing all that he saw, later to translate these visions into his still life and landscape paintings. Oleg’s dream life also provides inspiration for many of his pieces. This perhaps explains his playful distortion of perspective.

Employing a palette reminiscent of the Dutch masters, Koulikov’s work never ceases to delight. With his encaustic treatment, each original work is rich in color and texture and truly a treasure to behold.
